Immediate Update Required] Chrome High-Risk Vulnerability (CNVD-2025-14800)
Google has released an emergency patch for a high-risk vulnerability (CNVD-2025-14800) in Chrome. The flaw lies in the JavaScript engine’s handling of data-type boundary checks and type conversion, allowing attackers to execute arbitrary code through a malicious web page. All Chrome installations on Windows, Linux, and macOS are affected.
Please check your current Chrome version and complete the update within 24 hours:
- Windows: upgrade to 138.0.7204.96/97 or later
- Linux: upgrade to 138.0.7204.92 or later
- macOS: upgrade to 138.0.7204.92/93 or later
How to update: Please click the three-dot menu “ ⋮ ” → Help → About Chrome. Chrome will automatically download and install the latest version; restart the browser when prompted.
